It is an awful awful feeling, and cleaning up is shocking and horrific, insurance requires photos and proof. Our vet was kind enough to legally identify the horses even though most of the identifying marks were burned off into hard to see grisly stumps, I could still tell who was who, and identify them to the vet so he could make a positive id. it is almost impossible to remove the horses intact, so attempting to pull them out of the stalls was just an ordeal i was able to spare my owners, but it sat in my brain for a long long time.
Once does not think of these things when you read a story, you think of the loss and the horror, but not about how it continues and the after effects. I tend to avoid reading or looking at these stories, but I read this one. I send out huge jingles to anyone who has experienced this. Its simply not pleasant.
