Another coffeemaker post

I need a new one. I do not want any of the pod ones, i.e., Keurig, etc. Not interested in a French press. Just looking for a decent drip machine. I have had a Krups (lasted 15 years, but that was years ago and they don't make 'em like that any more), a bottom of the line Mr. Coffee that lasted 7 years. Most recently I had a Black and Decker that lasted about 2 years - the basket broke of all things. I just got a fancier Mr. Coffee from Costco that is going back - makes weak, warm coffee. Open to suggestions and priced below $100. TIA.

I always check Review Ratings on Amazon site. So far, they have pointed in the right product direction.

Do they sell Severin in the US? The "Cafe Caprice" from Severin is an excelent coffee maker. It has a special brewing/boiling system that really makes a difference.

I have a Hamilton Beach coffee maker (about 5 years old now) and I like it. I can actually pour from the pot and not have it dribble everywhere or drip. This is close to what I have (mine isn't red though)

I love my cuisinart, we've had it forever, like 15 years, and it still makes great coffee! it's this model, DCC-1100, but in red

Another vote for Cuisinart -I LOVE MINE... The feature I truly appreciate is the warming plate - it has 3 temperature modes. So even if the coffee isn't hot, hot when it brews (which it is) the warming plate can be set to keep it hot, hot!

My mom and sister also have the same model and LOVE IT !

My basic electric coffeemaker is a Cuisinart and it has worked well for many years.

But we have since graduated to a Gaggia for everyday espresso and coffees. A bit temperamental, but utterly worth it.
