I need a new phone

Postby gee » Wed Oct 14, 2015 4:01 pm

Android. Not interested in iPhone. Need one to work in a 4G network. Right now I have a Sony Xperia M but it is a 3G phone and does not work in the T-mobile network. Does not need a lot of bells and whistles but some would be nice. Also, which brands to avoid. TIA.

Samsung Galaxy 4. All smartphones have bells and whistles--no such thing as a stripped down version.

I have the Samsung Galaxy s5, it's basically waterproof, which is great around kids and horse buckets, I've got it in an otterbox and even with three year old it's drop proof. It gets 4G almost everywhere, good sound speakers and decent battery life.

I really like my LG G4. I also loved my Samsung S4, but the camera and video quality is better on the LG than the newer Samsungs. I do a lot of video and pictures.

Moto G , cheap as chips but all the whistles and bangs, fantastic little phone and has a micro SD if you want to expand the memory. I won't touch Samsung because of the touchwiz interface and the fact that they abandonded the galaxy tab software updates.

I have a Samsung S6 and it's ok. It would probably be great for someone else, but the screen on this thing and I do not get along at all. Apparently where I've touched all 10 android smartphones I've had before this one, doesn't work for this phone, so I never get what I want when I touch the screen. It's the most annoying thing ever, and I would trade it for my old HTC One any day.

As for being a phone and all the stuff it does, it works fine.

Perfect timing for this thread - I am on the hunt for a new phone too. I have an HTC One right now and it hasn't given me any grief whatsoever. I am going to stick to Android. I am picture and video freak, so need something that excells in this area.

Tuddy, G4 has the best camera/video on the market right now from what I've researched.

Thanks for the replies! Right now I have a Sony Xperia M. I am happy with it, but it is a 3G phone and cannot access internet through my data plan (T-mobile - 4G network). Wi-fi works fine but if I am trying to use it without wi-fi, cannot get on line. I'm looking at the Samsung Galaxy S5 mini because of the smaller screen.
