I had that red book! What an amazing story, an $80 horse certainly fueled a lot of my young dreams:

I recently read - and loved - the Elizabeth Letts book. Hope to enjoy the movie as well.

I had the honor or meeting him and Harry in the late sixties on his farm on Long Island. My neighbor's daughter trained with him and i got to tag along one day--i was starstruck!

Snowman is my absolute favorite horse ever. I first read about him in the mid60s via Reader's Digest book for kids. A few years ago the print CotH showcased a print which I bought, and visited the original at the KHP. We will never see another $80 champion.
