Cervical pillow recommendations

Postby LindaJ » Sun Mar 27, 2016 5:17 pm

Hello :) I am in need of a good cervical pillow. I currently have a "MyPillow" which starts out very comfy initially at night but as the night progresses..the fill moves and leaves me without neck support. I don't want anything super hard like the sobakawa one. Any suggestions? :) Thanks!

I'm a Tempurpedic junkie. Very supportive.

I have tried all the pillows in the world (it seems so anyway - I have a pile of rejects at home). I have had two cervical fusions so my neck won't take on a nice curve. Tried everything at Costco, tried MyPillow. The best was the Tempurpedic Back to Side pillow. http://www.brookstone.com/tempur-pedic- ... AvTC8P8HAQ

Until I went to Japan, and slept on a pillow at the hotel. OMG! Google indicated that it was not available in stores, so I asked at the concierge desk. They sold me two, and I schlepped them home. Here are photos. It is a pillow plus beans or seeds in channels on one side.

Favorite is a stiff foam no-name side keyhole-shaped pillow. It's great when my neck is a bear, but no good for my shoulder. I need to use a second pillow to prop my shoulder, which sometimes work out well, but is often a disaster.

Tempur-pedic keyhole-shaped side pillow is my second choice. I have that in a king size and can prop up my neck and shoulder simultaneously with one pillow.

Heddy, I have one of those stiff pillows, shaped much like my Tempurpedic side to back pillow. It was too stiff to accommodate my fused neck, where it won't bend. Damn. I should sell all of my unusable (for me) pillows.

Yes. Both of my pillows are like that. I need neck support, and am a stomach/side sleeper. The thicker edge works well, and depending on which pillow provides either stiff or medium support.

My husband uses one too, but sleeps on the thinner edge (side/back sleeper).

How are the Tempurpedic and memory foam pillows for off-gassing?
My last pillow purchase was a really nice fit, but I couldn't stay in the same room because of the smells.

how sad is it though that I don't blink an eye spending a ton on things for my horse, but I look at the prices of these pillows and am in sticker shock LOL!!
