Micklem sizing

Postby mld02004 » Tue Oct 18, 2016 11:07 am

What are people's opinions on sizing? My horse is an Anglo Arab but takes a regular horse size in everything.

My two cob-sized mares took a cob-sized Miklem, which fit perfectly. The entry-level bridle does stretch a bit over time. Not sure about the higher-priced models.

I found they ran true to size.

I don't know. I have a 15.2 Andalusian/QH mare. She is refined and has "dry" bone structure. Neither one fit her well enough for me to keep them. She really needed it to have some kind of adjustment over the nose. The cob sized was still sloppy over the nose. Full sized was way too big.

You will just have to try and see.

Thanks guys. I went with horse size and can return it it doesn't fit. I thought the leather was decent compared to things I've read. This is the competition model. I'm going to try it on today. Interesting that it comes with two different lengths on the straps that connect the bit.
