Dreaming of Spring: Fly Bonnets

Postby piedmontfields » Fri Dec 23, 2016 11:26 pm

Does anyone have suggestions for fly bonnets for horses with (ahem) rather large ears?

I find that standard bonnets, if they don't have stretch in the ears, are really too small.

I'm thinking ahead and perusing sale sites this winter! Thanks, all.

Bascule Bonnets does custom, so I would think they could make the ears to measure. I'm planning to order a couple once I'm actually able to ride my horse. https://www.etsy.com/shop/BasculeBonnets?ref=shop_sugg
Keep calm and canter on.

The HKM ones work for my rather generously aurally endowed horse.

And I use mine at this time of year as it (somewhat) deadens the sound of the snow slllllidddding off the roof of the indoor, so I am still alive.

I'd like to find an enormous neoprene lined bonnet, but was disappointed in the size of the Shokemole (sp) one and haven't managed to order anything else yet.
