How do you pronounce Butet?

Postby KathyK » Wed May 22, 2019 9:56 pm

If the horse I want to buy passes the PPE Monday, he's coming with a Butet saddle and I feel that I should know how to say it. :D

Boo-tay.

They are very popular in eventing land and that is the "fringlish" version that I hear. They are French-made foam-filled (not wool) saddles. Lovely leather, but not the kind of life and adjustability many of us in dressage-landia expect.

Very excited to hear about the new horse!

Thanks, piedmontfields. The saddle fits him, is coming at a very reasonable price, and I don't have one that would fit him. So without it, I have no saddle for him. I think that for now, the Boo-tay will be all right. If we need to upgrade, we will!
