I am trying to figure out how to post videsos.
From Rocky's trail ride today. It's hard to hold the phone and ride at the same time! She moves right along on the trails!
The preview doesn't look like this is working but will submit and see what happens.
video posting practice
Re: video posting practice
I copied and pasted the address into a new browser tab and it worked
I don't think videos embed into posts here, but you can just copy and paste the address.
Cute vid with the music Looked like a nice day.

Re: video posting practice
When sharing an YouTube video, on the right side below the picture and above the comments is a box, "Share." Click on that and it will give you sharing options for various other social media but it also has a text URL that is highlighted in blue. Copy that text with a right click of your mouse (for Windows and Apple, "ctrl C" also works).
Then in Definitely Dressage, type your post and at the point you want to paste the YouTube URL, use your paste command and the URL pasted from your computer's "clip board" and you'll get something like this:
https://youtu.be/ny5vGbTfB8c
You know you got a good hyper link URL when you see the "https://" and the period between the "u" and "b" in "YouTube." Of course if you did any editing of your text, you may have over written the URL with your text, so it is best to leave YouTube open in another tab or window while you are preparing your text so if you have to, you can get the URL again.

Yay. It seems to have worked. Now I need to learn how to edit the vids....
Flight, I'm glad you liked the vid! It WAS a nice day. We've been having great weather all week.

Re: video posting practice
That is the most perfect music ever for a trail ride! Genius level.

Re: video posting practice
I edited your first post. You had a stray "/" before the link. Videos do not embed into these forums. Maybe eventually!
Re: video posting practice
Thanks Chancellor! I'm not exactly sure what embedding is anyway! But no matter because I know how to post from youtube now.
