SPAMMERS!

Postby Chancellor » Fri Jul 26, 2019 1:00 pm

So, on top of a whole lotta crap at work (including my entire work laptop crashing and nearly setting fire to my house), the spammers have found us.
Please report the posts when you see them and please be patient with me as the work laptop thing is a real pain in the butt! I have deleted around 30 spammers between last night and today.

If you don't know, there is an exclamation point to the left of "Like this post". You can report the posts there. Also, a big thanks to Chisamba for reaching out to me on Facebook and letting me know that there were a bunch yesterday when I got home from work.

I am in CPR and First Responder training today so I likely will not have access to my computer to check for more spammers.

In the spam post, click the exclamation button at the top right, to the left of the quote button.

I changed the spam bot questions again. Hopefully this will slow them down

THAT would be nice.

Tell me about it!
Did I ever tell you guys about the guy at my last job who was surfing porn on his work laptop? He wound up getting a bad virus which is how I found out he was surfing porn. He had downloaded some of the porn to his work laptop.

The HR person asked me to check out the porn and make sure none of it was child porn. Man, did I get an education about stuff I never wanted to know.

Well, in all fairness, she was a 60+ year old woman who wasn't really employed by the company....it was a startup.

Is it possible to grant SPAM-deleting powers to another member, thus relieving you of that particular PITA? I would be happy to do it.

I would need to make someone an admin....which I have been thinking about doing. But I would need to know that someone would try to stay neutral.
