This is kind of grim and funny at the same time...

Postby Moutaineer » Mon Nov 04, 2019 4:33 am

...at least my husband finds it hilarious.

My dearly beloved car has turned into a 3 liter supercharged barbecue.

I was driving home in the dark on Friday night, vrooming it merrily down a country highway, came round a corner and hit a deer carcass dead center--no way to avoid it without causing an accident.

Apparently quite a lot of said deceased deer has ended up in the engine or attached to the bottom of my poor car.

I've been through the car wash, hosed it off, etc., but once that big engine gets hot, the smell of roasting meat is both incredibly strong and a more than a little nauseating, I had to go back it out of the garage after I got home this evening because we could smell it in the kitchen.

I guess if I can burn it off at least it won't rot.

I have to go see a new client in the morning. I hope she's not a vegetarian.

Oh, that is brutal. I think I might have a detail shop clean it, although. Shades of some sort of mountain top version of Pulp Fiction. Yeech.
Keep calm and canter on.

are you near a Les Schwab? I would put it up on the rack and check the wheel wells and discs. Pull the tires and get that area cleaned. They may be able to help with the other areas as well.

I like this company always ready to help or advise.

Thank goodness you are OK that could have been an awful accident

Omg! Grim but grossly funny indeed.

Can you power wash it? I too would take it somewhere and get it cleaned if possible. That is just gross.

But grossly funny >;->

That is funny! Sooner or later it will cook away. And winter is coming...
