Insulated Water Bucket Covers---any critiques?

Postby texsuze » Sat Sep 08, 2018 8:31 pm

SmarkPak has them advertised now. They're like a snowsuit for hanging water buckets. They'd be very useful for all the times I'm either bringing a jug of hot water to the barn to de-ice stall buckets, or for when I cross my fingers and turn on the barn's hot water, hoping the lines aren't frozen somewhere. They are expensive so I'd hope they last.

If I knew how to sew, and had a machine, I could use the TWO horse blankets which two different commercial cleaners destroyed  , and fabricate my own bucket covers :x

Anyone have experience with these or similar covers?

Bucket cover arrived today. It would make a most excellent kitty cup! I couldn't access the 30% off sale :( but thanks anyway. I only bought one cover for now, since they're not cheap. Will only get to test it in, oh, probably Dec or Jan when we have our first really freezing night ;)
